Anyone having an outdoor ceremony and now stressing that it will rain?? I'm having nightmares. Wedding is on Sep 1st and everyone is coming in from out of town for only a day or two.

    I am having an outdoor ceremony on September 25th. I am a little nervous. If it does rain we will have it inside. Where are you getting married at?

    I'm doing a beach ceremony on St. Pete beach and then dinner in downtown St. Petersburg. We have to have a back-up space, but have to make the decision the day before based on the forecast. I guess there's nothing I can do - so no need to stress. Literally had a dream about it last night, so that' probably why I'm nervous today.

    Well you are from here so you know there is absolutely nothing we can do to figure out the weather from one day to the next! Just try not to worry.. maybe you could give yourself a little extra time between the ceremony and reception just in case you need to wait a little longer for a shower to pass through. Or you could rent a tent to have people sit under...  but that kind of takes away from the whole beach feel.

    We are having our reception on July 16th...and got a tent in case of rain.

    We are having a beach ceremony/reception at Fort De Soto, October 15th & I am SOOO nervous!! We have no backup (there's no where else in Fort Desoto that would work, and we aren't willing to pay $500+ just for a backup. I said, if it rains, everyone will just have to sit in their cars and wait until it stops! :-p The only thing I'm REALLY worried about is a hurricane! ;)

    Yeah, I'm a bit worried about a hurricane too!!! But, like everyone said, you can't control the weather.

    How much does a tent cost to rent? Do you pay a deposit and then just loose that if you don't need/use it? That may be an option for me.
