Ceremony time

I was wondering how much time are you estimating the cermony will take. It is so funny, I have been to so many weddings but never really thought about this. lol

Re: Ceremony time

  • my venue gave a 1/2 hour for our ceremony but I doubt we will need that.. probably 15 minutes at the most. Short, Sweet and to the point!
  • I would say unless you are doing something extra, 20 minutes is more than enough. I am thinking ours will be 15 minutes max

  • I'm thinking anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Probably close to 20ish.

  • We have 30 minutes alloted but probably will be 15-20 or so.
    Anniversary
  • We have a 30 minute block but we will be done in under 15.

  • With my venue coordinator we planned 30 minutes for the ceremony and for everyone to get inside for the reception.

  • I've been debating about this as well. We will be having 2 pastors officiating our ceremony (both mine and fiance's) so I'm anticipating that it may take longer as I would like them both to give a (short) sermon. However, I don't want people to lose interest either so I'm hoping to be able to keep it within 30 minutes at max.
  • I'm really hoping it's not more than 30 minutes.
  • We are having a traditional Catholic wedding performed by two Monsignors. I am hoping to keep it around 1-1 1/2 hours.

  • We are having a Catholic wedding without the mass. I have already picked the outline with the priest & kept my readings small. I think 30-45 mins is about what it will run.

  • Under 30 minutes total. (Everyone walking in, ceremony and the WP exiting.)

  • I think ours will be 30-45 minutes. I'm not sure exactly how long though. I'm sure our minister will give us a better time frame when we meet with him.

<div>This for us as well.  If I'm there longer than 30 minutes, something went wrong.</div>
  • Short and Simple 10-15 minutes.
  • Ours is 30 minutes as well.

Same! Ours at most will be an hour, but I'm thinking more around 40 minutes.
  • If you are having it in a church I would say it would be about an hour give or take.  My venue allows for 30 minutes.  Since we are using the same JP that my cousin used we have to talk to him about shortening our ceremony.  My cousin's was about 25 minutes, but we want ours shorter....especially if it starts late.  Plus, my DJ isn't charging us for cocktail hour so I don't want it to go into cocktail hour where he may charge us.
  • Only about 10-15 minutes. We want to keep it short and sweet!
