Alfred Angelo in glen Burnie

Whatever you do do not order your dress or Bridesmaid dresses through Alfred Angelo in Glen Burnie. It is 4 days before my wedding and I am still missing bridesmaid dresses. It is a very long drawn out story but the short end of it is that they will not call you back, they will take your money and lie straight to your face. Then when you call them out on their lies they give you an attitude. Sara, the assosciate at the store, is the worst.  DO NOT add more stress to your wedding life by ordering your dress through this store. THE WORST.

my friend just ordered her BM dresses here, I'm picking up my dress tomorrow...I AM NOT AT ALL IMPRESSED WITH THEM, although they haven't done anything wrong yet per se. I had called Pearls Place to price the dresses she wanted us to get, and we would have saved about 40 bucks a piece, but she felt more comfortable ordering from a store (I DON't know why because the over the phone service was WAY better then the in person service)

Long story short, I would avoid this place as a general recommendation

Yikes.  The Lancaster store was okay when I went there, and the Harrisburg store is nice.  We ordered from Pearl's Place which took a few weeks longer than ordering in store but it saved a decent amount of money.

Good example...why would they threaten to send it back on you...most places will even store your dress up until the wedding day...think about that!

I second Jenn! They are snippy, and I had to go INSANE on one of the sales ladies and demand a new consultant because she CONTINUED to open the door while my BM's were chaning and there were like 100 people in the store! They would like their thongs to stay behind closed doors. UGH I was SO disgusted with them I complained to regional management- guess what- no reply. Am I shocked? Nope!

Well first off they didn't "threaten" to send it back on me. In their contract when u buy the dress it tells you that you have 14 days to finish paying and get it or it will be sent back after it comes in. Why would you want a store to hold ur dress until the wedding anyways? I dunno about you all but i would like my dress in my possession so that i know where it is and nothing happens to it.

Actually there are a lot of reasons why many salons offer to hold your dress for you...a lot of people don't have a place to store it, worry about dogs/cats getting to it, or having their future husband see it.  Don't get me wrong, I picked up my dress right away and enjoyed looking at it.

I'm glad you had a good experience.  Many people have reported several "harassing phone calls" and the threat of sending your dress back and I feel that is  way out of the line of good customer service

Oh another story to share...MOH picked up her dress, but when she got there, they couldn't find it....turns out, after an hour, they found it and it was under the name Lane, which is noone's last name.  Turns out, since the bride lives on "blank" Lane, that's how they put the order.  So Bride and MOH ask them to make sure they correct it.  BM 2 goes in, has the same problem., but this time is told to come back another time because they couldn't find it.  Mind you, they are calling us individually as our individual dresses come in so the timing is pretty spread out.  Again, bride calls and says that needs to be fixed in the system, they say they do.  That BM let a few days go, planning to go that weekend (she didn't have time with her work schedule during the week).  On Friday, they call her and tell her it's been 10 days and they'll be sending her dress back Monday.  She's like "HELLO, I WAS THERE, you couldn't find my dress".

Fast forward to today, there I was nearing an hour when finally I call the bride, who tells me to tell them to look under "Lane"...they find the dress.  She asks them again to please change the name to be her name and not the last word of her address.  They told her, "honestly, it would be a lot easier if you could just tell your bridesmaids to tell us the order is under Lane"

We gave in,  the other 3 bridesmaids will ask for the dresses under the name of the Lane bride.

I'm not saying they did 'threaten' you, it's great that you had a wonderful experience.  But I, for one, am really glad my store is offering to keep my dress there for me until the wedding.  I don't have to worry about the proper way to store it, where to store it (both having room and keeping it away from my cat), etc.  If something happened to it, the store is actually responsible for replacing it (as per my contract), although it WOULD suck if there wasn't time before the wedding.  Honestly, though, something is more likely to happen at my apartment than the shop!

UPDATE- my FSIL goes to pick up her dress today, and one of them had put her order in wrong. Dress comes in base color of what the sash is supposed to be, sash is opposite. Imagine my frustration.....another dress that's in is correct, but I"m waiting to see what happens when the others arrive......I requested a call back from the regional manager by COB Monday or else I will be calling corporate myself. I explained to the lady on the phone today that they have the highest disregard for customer service I have experienced thus far in wedding planning, a service where you have to have the UTMOST in customer service. I would warn everyone stay AWAY. I wish I would have known there was a store in PA, we would have taken a field trip up there!

I went there twice since they opened. Customer service is terrible. I also called several times prior to me going there & never got a call back after leaving messages. Even being in the store it doesnt get any better. They were very rude and unfriendly. I can not think of one good thing to say about my experience there, not one!! They act like they could care less if they have your business or not.
