My cousin is a pianist and will be playing the piano at my wedding. He is also arranging the music for me (especially since I know nothing about musical arrangements and I'm not picky). My question is, what do I do for him? He has already mentioned that he is not expecting to be paid. Should I get him a gift? If so, what kind of gift do I get? He is doing me a huge favor by doing this, and saving me a lot of money, so I would like to do something, I just don't know what.
Re: Musician Family Member
What about a gift card? Do you know if he likes any restaurants, book stores, etc?
Miss Mrs.
I agree with PP about a gift card.

I agree with everyone else, on their ideas and the screen name which is pretty awesome :-) I would like to say "yay gift cards" because they're awesome especially if you're unsure what to get someone. They can buy their own stuff, or there are sites for trade if it's decided they don't need one for that store.
And it's very cool your cousin is doing that for you.
And my SN is porkchopanddoughnut. My nickname is Porkchop and his is Doughnut. It only displays a certain number of characters, so it looks like porkchopanddoug. But we do like that show!
coming from a professional musician, and while a gift card would certainly be appreciated, musicians tend to like money as gifts (mostly because we don't have a lot of it!!) I'm sure he will appreciate whatever you give him though, especially because he won't be expecting it.
