Bridal Show Door Prize

I attended a bridal expo yesterday and got an email today saying I won a door prize. The catch is, they didn't say WHAT I won, and said it can only be picked up at an upcoming show... obviously a lame attempt at bringing people into their shows, but could it be anything good? I'd guess it's a coupon of some sort... just wondering if I should even bother...

    The same thing happened to me and when I got there, I actually won 8 tickets to the Awesome 80's Prom in NYC. I used that for my friend's bach party.

    Wow, that's great! I really wouldn't mind just showing up to another show, I'm just hoping it's worth my while... thanks!

    Everytime I go to a bridal show I get about 8 calls saying that I won something. It's usually not true and has a catch. I have been reduced to not answering my phone anymore, if an unknown number pops up because I'm being pestered by wedding people not stop!

    gina613--i got an email from them as well (were you at the Raritan Center show too?).
    None of the shows that they offered for pickup seem reasonable to attend for me. I wonder if the prize is worth it.

    Yes, I was at the Raritan Ctr show... I didn't even have too many of the vendors sign my sheet because I was either not that interested or too busy yapping... so who knows. The Monmouth Junction show is on my way home from work so I think I might check that one out. I can't imagine that it's anything amazing... I went to a smaller show once where all the door prizes were coupons... but I guess anything is better than nothing when you're on a budget, which I totally am!

    Just a suggestion for bridal shows and giving out your information for wedding vendors in general... 

    If you use GMail, you can sign up for Google Voice and have a phone number connected to your real cell number for free.  Then, when you're done with wedding stuff, just delete the number and you'll have a peaceful life!

    I use google voice! What a life saver... no calls yet thankfully! I second your suggestion.

    You know I got a call like that too, funny thing is that I haven't been to a bridal show in over 6 months. Weird
