Family Beach House?

The future hubby and I were talking to his aunt about our honey moon options. We mentioned that we wanted to do Hawaii, but would prolly wait a few months to go. Mainly because we are paying for the wedding ourselves and don't want to deplete all of our funds. She offered to let us have the beach house in North Carolina for a week following the wedding. I absolutely LOVE the beach house (and I've only been there once), it's private and super relaxing. Do we take her up on the offer? And ditch our original honey moon plans?

    We didn't have much of a honeymoon budget and couldn't decide where to go. We started talking to the IL's neighbors, H used to help them out all the time with computers and babysitting, and they brought up a $1 mil home they got for a steal in Florida, they buy and flip homes to rent. They then offered it to us for free for our honeymoon. Then offered it to us 3 more times before we said yes. It was well worth taking them up on it. We had such a great time and not having to worry about paying for a hotel was worth it for us. Plus getting away immediately after all the wedding stress and relaxing was very nice. I personally could not have waited even a month to go anyplace.

    Moral of the story, if you want to stay at the beach house for free do it.

    It just dawned on me I should have mentioned you can still plan a trip to Hawaii. Maybe turn it into an anniversary trip. Depending on what you were planning to do and the length of stay you wanted a Hawaiian cruise could be a better option. No reason why you can't go to Hawaii if you choose the beach house for your honeymoon. If you decide on that.
