A Kinda Specific DJ...

Hey All,

So I've basically booked my venue and photog, so I'm moving on to the DJ. I'm not a bridezilla by any means but the DJ is important to me and I want to be able to give them a list a specific songs I DEFINITELY want played along with all the the songs they see fit.

I'm new to this, so maybe all DJ's play exactly what you want? I don't know but I'm looking for good DJ's that do Rockland County. I would like any and all suggestions any of you have, and please explain why you're suggesting someone.

Thank you all in advance, you're always a great help!

We used Strictly Entertainment DJs.  They were awesome.  Gary Whittaker is the dj.  His song catalog is huge and he will play anything you want and if there are songs you don't want, he will take care of that.  We never had an empty spot on our dance floor.  It was just great.

we are having Sound Wizards Entertainment. It's really only one DJ Kenny & he has an assistant.  He was so flexible with us for ourpayments & meeting us. When he met with us he was so thurough. He told us word for word what he was going to sya & do when & at what time. I saw him at a friends wedding & he was AMAZING. Everyone & I eman everyone wa sup dancing the whole time. He did not hog the spotlight at all but knew exactly how to run the wedding.  He gave us a piece of paer & told us to write down definite no songs but we also told him what genre of music we like and he is going to stick to all of that & asked us if this & that song was okay if he played it. He was only $1,050 for the 6 hours & that's including the ceremony, cocktail hour & reception & the lighting show also & if we wanted props but we opted not to have them. His website is djsoundwizards.com

I used Spinning with Style (DJ Bri Swatek).  He will take a list of must play and not play songs and tailors it to you and your FI.  People danced all night (even through dinner) and the ages were 2 1/2 to 80

Wow, thanks everyone! I'll definitely check them all out.

I assume any good DJ is going to tailor to what I want. After all, I'm paying for it. I just need to be able to say "You're NOT playing the macarena, ok?" Hahaha.

    Thanks again!

We used The DJ Company.  I had a list of 100+ songs that I made over the course of planning.  Ryan worked very closely with me to help pick out the absolute musts, please try's and do not plays.  He rocked the wedding and it was exactly what I wanted.
