Attending the Royal Wedding... sort of

My sister and I got tickets for Regis and Kelly for Friday April 29th, which is their "Royal Wedding" party.  They are starting at 5:30am to watch the wedding and then we will be part of the audience for the show.  I am not into the "Royal Wedding" but I thought it would be fun and got tickets.  The kicker is we have to dress up as either royal look a likes (which we are not), bridesmaids or brides.  The woman said to dress as "royal" as we can and their are going to be prizes for the best dressed audience members.  Since I do not have a wedding dress to wear, I figured I would use one of the bridesmaids dresses I have and be a bridesmaid.  The thing is I am not very creative to make it good enough to stand out (might as well try and win a prize).  I have a pale yellow dress I think I may wear, since it is spring and get white gloves.  I also have this little crown I can wear.  What else can I do?  I figured this is the best place to get ideas, since you girls are all so creative.  Thanks!

    Also, make sure you bring a change of clothes in case you guys decide to go out afterwards, dont think you want to walk around in that - well. . .maybe you do lol

    Good idea to bring clothes.  I didn't even think about that!  I am excited... if you can go, go to the Regis and Kelly web-site, click on the royal wedding and call the number to see if there are more tickets. I didn't think I would get them, but the woman called me today and said I did.

    Sounds like a great outfit!!! You can always bring a fake bouquet from Michaels to help complete the wedding look :)

    A wide ribbon sash with medals pinned to it (across your chest, not around your waist), a big cocktail ring, wear a big hat or fascinator if you don't wear a crown, pearl necklace, a jacket over your dress (or wear a colorful suit dress instead of the long dress), the gloves, a little purse or a small bouquet of flowers (like the little girls give the princesses/Queen when they are visiting people).

    I think your idea is super cute!  Have so much fun!!!  Sounds like it's going to be so fun!  I do plan on waking up at 4 am to watch the Today show coverage..I am too excited lol
