Trunk Shows

Has anyone gone to one? I was thinking of waiting to buy my dress at a trunk show if it would be a good way to buy the dress I want on sale. Do you know if that is what Trunk Shows provide. What should I expect ?!?

Thanks for any help!

I went to one at Sharon Batten a few weeks ago. It was very fun but I felt major pressure to purchase one of the designers dresses even though I found a better one at the store that was not the designers.

Overall, I had a really good experience. Since the designer was there we were able to talk about changes I could make to the dress that I might not have really known if he hadn't be there. I do'nt think it could hurt to go to one but have an idea of what the designer is known for and what dresses you like. Mine was sorta last minute and I was very familiar with his style!

Yes, you can definitley get a better price but a sample sale (I believe) is where you get the best prices.

There is a Trunk Sale here in Jacskonville for my designer Maggie Saterro in April. I don't know if I should wait or buy the one I like now.... Decisions, decisions.... ahhh

This wedding planning thing is driving me nuts! I have a wedding coordinator and she is wonderful but I still have to decide on somethings like a dress.  Thanks for your input. Do you know the percentage you could save via a trunk sale?
