Thank you card turn around time

What is the general time frame for getting out thank you notes for showers?? I have 5 (yup FIVE!!!!) within a 10 day window. Three are at work and two are from family. My poor hand is going to fall off...

  • I'm not too sure about the timeframe, but maybe you could get a close friend to help you with addressing envelopes, so you just have to write the personal message. This would save you some writing. I printed address labels for my wedding invitations and then I just reprinted them for bridal shower invites changed the names to the women only and for my thank you notes.

You should really send TYs within two weeks of the shower(s).  I'm sure you'll want to get it out of the way before the wedding anyways.

And you're having FIVE showers?  Are your co-workers seriously throwing you three showers?  That seems just a little excessive, but maybe you've got some special work situation...

If people are spending time and money buying gifts and attending the event, you really should be addressing the envelopes yourself.  People aren't dumb--I'm sure they'll be able to tell the difference in handwriting.  As a guest, I'd totally side-eye you I figured out you didn't actually take the time to do it yourself.  It really won't take that long (seriously).
  • I did mine in 2 weeks.

<div>I work in a school district & am considered a district employee. I have 2 buildings that I work in, plus my department. I feel very fortunate, but will be totally exhausted!</div><div>
</div><div>2 weeks sounds good. They will probably (well, hopefully) go out sooner than that. Thank you!</div>
