Vendor Appointments

When is everyone setting up their final vendor appointments? Have you started calling to schedule the dates already? I am a destination bride having it in the city that my FI and I met as lived in for 5 years and will be back in Charlotte for 45 weeks before the wedding so all the appointments will need o be in that time frame... But should I be scheduling them now??? What about dress fittings I'm only having 2 fittings but should I call to select times and dates?! Help! Thanks

I scheduled mine already for my destination wedding in Maine during the last week in June. I set up a 7-day trip to just grind it out and get it all done (florist, final fitting, venue, musician and doing my DIY projects with my mom). If you already know your timeframe for visiting, why not set them up now? The earlier you call, the more likely your vendors will have slots open for the days/times you want.

We did the same thing as lc. We are having a destination so wanted to get everyone done in one last trip to the location, which will be over Memorial Day weekend.
We did book appointments with people like the DJ and hairstylist super early because we knew they'd already be extremely busy with other weddings.

I emailed everyone today... so far I've scheduled hair/makeup trial, DJ, and rentals, still waitiing to hear from photobooth, flowers, transportation, caterers...
