Professional photo editors?

Some of my weddign photos were quite disappointing- it was windy outside that day, so in most of our nice, formal close-ups my husband and I have hair blowing in our faces.  I asked the photographer nicely to try to fix 1 so we would have a good formal shot.  Well, after waiting 7 months for this and subsequent requests, I got 1 photo back that only had 1 strand of hair removed from my face.  Groom's hair was still blowing up all over.

So, I was hoping to find a professional photo editor that might be able to fix some shots for us.  Any recommendations?

I'm not very technical and from what I can tell, buying Photoshop is pretty expensive.

Can you post a link to the photos that need editing so I can see exactly what needs to be fixed? Hair's a tough one, but I might be able to do something for you :)

On second thought send me an email, then I can open it right in Photoshop and get a better look :) monique026@gmail.com

+1 vote for hiring a real professional in the first place.  Hiring someone else to fix the mistakes your photographer made could end up costing more than what you originally paid for the photography itself.  And yes - hair in the face could have been avoided by an experienced professional.  Bummer.

<div>I agree that some professionals would have avoided this in the first place, but I disagree that it's necessarily going to cost her more to fix them than she originally paid for the photos if it's only a few photos she needs fixed... I for instance charge $25 / hour for photo retouching, and it would not take more than a few hours to fix a handful of photos...</div><div>
</div><div>OP: I feel your pain, our "professional photographer" pictures pretty badly, and unfortunately his mistakes could not be fixed in photoshop eveby a professional graphic designer such as myself (out of focus, blurry, and full of grain...).</div>

You do touch ups for $25 an hour??  I'm getting married in two weeks and my would like a few touched up pictures-- making my skin look smoother and tanner.  Would you be able to do this?  I would really appreciate it!!!  My email address is ajsiders@gmail.com

Before you all send your photos to other people remember that in most cases you only have printing rights, not copyrights, and may not have the rights to give your photos to someone else to alter. It's considered copyright infringement.

Ellfay might be right.  Check the copyright release that came with your photos and see if it's allowed.  If there's no mention of anything, then you should be okay to send your photos to a third party.

Some companies offer retouching as part of the entire package for final prints and albums.  If you get the "copyrights" and you want an album and include the retouching as part of the deal, look at We Design Albums.

Also, many photographers are also experienced in digital retouching.  Perhaps someone local can also assist you.
