So I sent ny 3rd and FINAL RSVP email today for the straglers who have not rsvped yet. I specificly let them know that if I do not have an online or paper rsvp by 11:59pm on Sunday they WILL NOT be added to my final head count that I am giving the caterer on the 3rd. I REFUSE to spend the next 20+ days worrying about who is or isnt coming. I feel bad for anyone who makes there travel arrangements last minute but I'm sorry I am not going to loose my mind over this. I am having a plated reception no buffet, and I am NOT paying for people "just in case" if you don't rsvp you don't get a seat. I dont want to pay for these people and then they still not show up and I refuse to have empty tables at my reception! So let the count down begin lets see if the straglers get it together.

    Well at least you can say you made a GREAT attempt to get people to respond.  If they don't RSVP after 3 reminder emails they will be SOL!

    I feel your frustration.  We have 3 people on our list that despite an email have yet to send in their RSVP.  Why do we have to track their butts down?!!!  They should feel honored to be invited to such an important event instead they acting like they dont have time to breathe let alone check a box and mail a card.  I'm just going to have to get out my taser.

    Listen I know exactly how you feel about that. I took the time and typed a template up for the note we inserted into the invitation to advise them that RSVP is needed for the final count for the caterer. I also stated that if you do not RSVP, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to eat at the reception because it is plated and not buffet style. Now they can play if they want to. Travel plans be damned, if I gave you a whole month to RSVP and I included a self addressed "STAMPED" envelope for you and you still not RSVP then you deserve not to eat. The last thing I want to worry about is who's coming and who's not. I got enough on my plate. So I so agree with how you feel, trust me.

       Its sad that you are inviting them to come eat ,drink for free and they can not  send back the RSVP  that you paid for postage .I say forget them do not pay for poeple who may or mat not come. save your self some money . Good Luck
