Black or Gray Suit?

A little background -- Our wedding colors are black/white damask and light yellow.  I believe my girls are going to end up with short, black dresses (with yellow heels).  The flowers are all going to be yellow.

FI is wanting him and his men to wear gray suits with yellow vests/ties.  I am wondering if it would look strange, considering there is no other gray in our wedding?

We are getting married outside in June, so I know the gray will be cooler, but I can't decide.  Thoughts??

Our colors are black, white and pink and we are going with black suits because it goes with the theme.

I think either would look nice. Our guys are wearing grey. I love seeing grey and yellow together... I think it looks neat :) It might be a nice little *pop* amidst the black and yellow. And as far as the guys being too warm in the black (if you go with the black suits), we saw a cool wedding photo and we are going to borrow this idea. My FI is going to be in a full grey suit with a vest, but the 2 groomsmen are going to just have the grey pants with the same shirt and tie with their sleeves rolled up a little bit. Gives it a more casual, comfortable feel. But it also depends on your wedding style... every wedding i've been to the guys have all worn full suits. I think either the black or the grey would look good in your situation, but I vote for grey Cool

My guys are wearing the gray tuxes for our outdoor wedding!  I don't think it would look bad at all with your color choices...think of how many wedding the men have worn black when it wasn't anywhere else in the color palette?  I think gray looks nice cause it's summery and light.  Mens Warehouse has the light gray tux, but Jos. A Bank has Light gray and Charcoal gray if you're interested in something darker!

I went to a wedding two summers ago and their colors were yellow, white and gray.  The girls wore yellow dresses and the men wore gray suits.  It looked very nice.  I agree with PP that either would be just fine.  And you're so far away from it, you could definitely add little pops of gray throughout your decor so it wouldn't just be the tuxes.  If it were me, I'd do what would make my FI happy.  Be thankful he is giving you input ;)

My fiance and his groomsmen are wearing the charcoal gray from Jos A. Bank. I love a gray suit! Even though gray isn't in the palette, I think you can do it since you'd just be playing with neutrals.

My fiance and his groomsmen are wearing gray tuxes and my girls are wearing black dresses. My flowers are green and white with damask as the accent at the reception. I think gray would look nice!
