Hello Everyone,I recently got engaged (about 3 weeks ago) and have been busy planning since! I'm not one to let the grass grow under my feet :o)We've set the date for June 25, 2011 and have confirmed the church, St. Anthony's, and are working on the contract for Hartefeld National Golf Club. We're so excited and I'm glad this board is here. There are so many decisions to make and I need all the help I can get!

Has anyone used Barnyard Photography? I'm meeting with them Tuesday night, but would love any feedback.

    Welcome and congrats!  Hartefeld is beautiful.  I went to a wedding there this past September.  I don't have any info on Barnyard Photography, sorry.  I used New Leaf Photography.  www.nleafphoto.com. Good luck!

    Wow!  That was my date until a couple of weeks ago!  Everything was booked so I had to push it out.  Anyway...CONGRATS!  I am not familiar with that photog but would check the reviews at Weddingwire.  If you cannot get Hartefield, you might want to look at Deerfield.

    Thank you everyone! Met with Barnyard this week & the prices are great, but we want to meet with other photographers before deciding. Any suggestions?

    I booked with Tom Smith of Tom Smith Photography.  His website is tomsmithphotography.net. Love his work! Doesn't do the "typical" boring stuff. Good luck!

    if you're not opposed to a new business. i have a friend in PA that is working on starting her photography business. she's gonna be doing my wedding, & took the photo in my sig. if you'd like her website/contact info i'll gladly provide. She takes great shots, & just needs to work on building her event portfolio, so she might be able to cut you a deal.

    Thank you ladies for all of the suggestions. We met with 4 different photographers and we made our final decision last night. We went with Dazzle Photography in Newark. We really clicked with Dan and love not only his photography but also his whole philosophy on wedding photgraphy. Such a relief to have that choice made!

    So now on to DJs...any recommendations??

    We went with Tom Barrett.  He's one of the budget friendly DJ's, but also come pretty highly recommended from those who have used him.  He also has a rating of 4.9 out of 5 on Marthastewartweddings.com, and has won The Knot Best Of a couple times.
