AI Honeymoon for $2000

we are getting married on 11/02/2013. We are wanting to do an all inclusive honeymoon in the Caribbean for 6 nights with flight for around $2000. We are hoping not to spend over $3000. We will be flying out from Huntsville, AL. We would like to go somewhere beside Cancun or the Bahamas since we have already traveled to those places. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I just did a quick search on expedia and it looks like you could stay within your budget with those dates if you go to Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Jamaica is a good option, and I also think Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic would be within that range.

We just booked a 5 star in DR for $2100 taxes in for 7 nights.

totally do-able, we just searched for last minute deals.

Ditto PPs - Jamaica or DR. We got a black friday deal through Sandals that's going to be about $2500 for 7 nights, including flights, at Sandals Whitehouse - 2 miles of private beach

That budget is totally doable, especially if you are willing to drive to Birmingham or (even better) Atlanta for departure. There are plenty of direct flights from Atlanta to both of those places for relatively cheap.

We went to Cancun on vacation once and paid $2k for both of us. The price included flights, our stay at our AI resort, and airport transfers.

We stayed at the GR Solaris which is a 4 star resort in the hotel zone and we loved it so much we'd like to go back.

Thanks so much for asking this question! We too are hoping to not go over $2,500 and are looking into Jamaica. Did you go to a travel agency? They're free and can do all the searching for you...ours emails us deals daily for Jamaica! Good luck to you.
