Bar to gather after the rehearsal dinner?

I'm an OOT bride and we're getting married October 22!  We were trying to find a place where we could invite people to meet us after the rehearsal dinner.  We're staying at the Omni Royal Orleans -so we're looking for somewhere in the Quarter.  There will probably be 50-55 people around 9:00 p.m.  Any thoughts?  I love the Carousel bar at the Hotel Monteleone, but I don't know if it's big enough.

    Napoleon House

Big, New Orleans feel, very reasonably priced drinks, and right by the Omni Royal

After our rehearsal dinner last friday, My fiancee and I took the party to the Hermes bar at Antoine's (her father is a member of the krewe and her sister was queen, so it was pretty much de rigeur). There happened to be a small jazz band playing and we had an absolute blast. It's upscale without being stuffy, and we all felt pretty classy showing up at a Nola institution all dressed up. (It also opens right onto the street, so cigars were made easy)

The Carousel Bar would be big enough for that many people.  They have the carousel part, with tables all around...and then some stairs go down to a lower level where the piano bar is.  The piano bar area is actually pretty big...last we were there, there were way more than 50 people in there.

I agree with the vote for Pat O'Brien's. It is not the least bit classy but it is super fun. It is also a huge place where 50+ people can easily mingle.   We went there after the last wedding I attended and the servers were happy to put together tables for our big group. Plus, you can introduce all your guests to the Hurricane!

I am debating many of these same questions muself on my blog at www.nolabride.blogspot.com

What kind of atmosphere is there at the Carousel Bar? Is the piano bar lively?
