My FI and I were engaged on January 1. I would really like to have an engagement party, but don't know when a good time woulf be. I'm a teacher and have Spring Break in April. The reason I'm looking at that time is because I'm also the musical director for the school musical which is in May, and that keeps me very busy during the week as well as on weekends. Having the party during a vacation would just allow me to enjoy it more. Is April an acceptable time to have the party? It would also allow me lose a few more pounds.
