Has anyone ever purchased their bridal dress, bridesmaid dresses or flower girl dresses from a company called Yes Bridal (ybridal.com)? It's a company based in China that offers dresses at a ridiculously low cost. A few of the reviews on the website said the dresses are high quality but sometimes those reviews can be biased like they only post the good reviews. If you have purchased from this company before or bought other things from them before, how was your experience? Does the quality exceed what would be expected from the low cost? I know it's risky to buy a dress before you try it on but my plan if I do purchase from them is to buy the dress in 1 size larger then it says to order for my measurements and then have it taken in. I know a very good seamstress and she's done many bridal gowns so I trust her with a wedding dress. Thanks for the input. Oh and here's the dress I like the most.

Re: ybridal

  • I would be careful, I looked online for website reviews and couldn't find anything... in my experience when something sounds too good to be true it usually is. Good luck. :-)
  • I have been looking at this website too & I am SERIOUSLY considering..would love to find some reviews or actual people saying they had a good experience from them...

    Anyone?????
  • If you are planning to buy from YBRIDAL, please make sure you are buying a VERY simple dress or else I feel you will be disappointed.

I bought my bridesmaid dress from them thinking we could save a few bucks....and I am VERY disappointed and will probably have to go and buy another dress someplace else.

I ordered a lace dress with thin sheer overlay, just over the small straps, very dainty and detailed.

What I got was something that a student in junior high would be able to make.

There was no detail to it at all, and NO LACE AT ALL (it was even labeled as a "lace" dress), instead of the sheer, small overlay over the straps being small and dainty, it is very heavy, bulky and covers almost the entire shoulder.
The color is completely off and the hem is not straight at all.  The empire waist, below the bust is crooked enough for my completely oblivious husband to ask "is it suppose to be longer on one side?"

I am very disappointed in their work, but I guess you get what you pay for.

If you do buy from them, please save yourself the stress and buy WAAAAAY ahead of time so you can either send it back to be fixed if you are not satisfied, have time to take it to a local seamstress to fix, or have time to buy another one.
I would hate for anyone to have their special day ruined by a dress they are completely disappointed with.

  • I would not go with this type of company.  It has red flags flying everywhere.  Even in there response on this thread I shudded at what you possibly could get from a company like this.

They are cheap for a reason, and they are not the original designers of this dress so they really don't have much incentive to do a whole lot of quality control.

What brand is your dress country girl?

and ybridal: vendors are not allowed on these boards, if you would like to respond to a negative comment about your company you email knot annie your response and she will post it for you.

Thanks for the information.  Could you please tell me annie's email address? Should I send a message to her profile here?

    Thank you.

  • This is a knock-off site.  I almost ordered from them until I did a little online research:  http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/do-not-order-from-them

  • Have you ever gotten you dress?  How did you go about the whole thing?
    Here is my story:

I ordered my dress over  months ago. After giving them an extension and reconfirming that I would get it in 2 months, on May 20th, I am waiting... still...
Instead, I got a call after 11p.m. on the 21st (the day after which I was supposed to receive it) and was asked whether I would like to receive it in 2-3 days and benefit from express shipping.
I paid for express shipping the day I ordered the dress!
It was shipped on the 23rd... 3 days after the agreed upon date, and 2 days after I was told it is getting shipped. What's more, the operator laughed at me when I told her I was unhappy. Seriously?Yell

Can't wait to see what I am getting in the mail... and when... The misery continues...

DO NOT ORDER FROM YBRIDAL.  THE DRESS THEY SENT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE PICTURED.  THEY REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING TO FIX THE SITUATION.

  • Just an update.  After all of the negative feedback ybridal.com changed their name to yesmybride.com.  They're still ripping people off, but now they claim to be based in the US and in France.  They're based in China.  They sent my daughter's bridesmaids dresses five days AFTER the wedding, in the wrong colors, and smelling strongly of chemicals.  They refused to do anything to make it right, even though they now advertise a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Fortunately, we paid through PayPal and they returned our money to us.  Be very careful buying from these sites!
  • DO NOT ORDER FROM YBRIDAL.COM. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. I ORDERED 3 BRIDESMAID DRESSES AND THEY ARE HORRIBLE, NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE ON THEIR WEBSITE. THEY WANT ME TO TAKE THEM TO A LOCAL TAILOR TO GET THEM FIXED!!! THEY DON'T LIKE TO GIVE REFUNDS. BEWARE!!!
  • hello
just an update! im so sorry to hear so many people have had horrible expierences. i don't normally write reviews so bare with me. i ordered my dress from them and i do have to say just a couple things, do not look at the pictures of the models in the dress that will set you up for immediate disappointment, instead they actually have a picture of the gown and it will say ybridal across the picture that is the dress you will be recieving. the models are in the inspiration dresses. Second luckyily i paid with paypal if you do not it will be hard to recieve a refund from them. But some positive notes on this company they were quick to respond to any emails i had within 24 hours i recieved a response. Lastly my dress was made and shipped within the 3 weeks they told me it would be. The dress is absolutely gorgeous that i purchased i have to be honest the quality is as i would expect from a bridal shop and the detail put into it is flawless. perhaps i just got incredibly lucky which could be or it's possible they are doing some quality control. It is worth a shot, as i said before pay with paypal its secure and you can get a refund if your dress is horrible or you just dont recieve it.  All in all i would more than likely do business with this company again
