  Does he have a favorite song? I know that if I asked my nephew to dance with me to a mushy song about how much I love him, he'd want no part in it... but if we could dance to one of his favorites to play on air guitar, he'd have a blast.

  Yes, maybe you could try asking him.  My brother's fi told me that the other day her 10 year old son told her that the son "you don't know you're beautiful" reminds him of her.  You never know maybe he has a song like that, too.  Somewhere over the rainbow is nice, too.

  I agree with asking him.  That was the first thing that came to mind: Well, does he have a favorite song??  Or what Nancy said: 'does he have a song that reminds him of you?

  I agree with the others!! For him to want to do it, it would have to be a song that he likes. Such a cute idea to have a dance with him!! i agree, though - at age 7, he probably won't be a fan if it is super mooshy, so maybe make it something a little more upbeat and fun??

  I am using Lady Antebellum's "Never Alone" for our unity ceremony with my 6 yr old stepson. We really like the lyrics and it reminds of us of our promises to him.
