Help only 10 months to find reception site!!!!

Please help ladies... I only have 10 months left and I need to book like yesterday. Everything I love has been booked for my August 18th date or I can't afford. Trying to stay around $14k. I love more art deco and historic sites... My wedding is in West Chester but I would love to go downtown for the reception. Any ideas would really help. Thanks!

Would that be $14k for the reception or $14k for the wedding total? And how many guests do you have?

14k totally for the wedding. We are going to end up with about 175-200 guests

Have you tried the Syndicate?  I'm totally biased, but I loved it there.  It would definitely be in your budget.  It is quite a drive, but no more than downtown.

What about Union Terminal, Art Museum, Music Hall?

What about Embassy Suites Covington? Not going to lie - it's my venue - but I absolutely love it. It's not down-town but it has an amazing view of downtown.

Shannon is wonderful to work with..and

they have a lot of inclusions with their packages - including a night at the hotel for the bride and groom. :)

Sorry to say Embassy is booked for our date as well..... I'm going to end up in a barn :-( I'm just getting frustrated I find something I like then it's too expensive or booked for my date.

Just wondering - is there a reason why you're set on that date?

We didn't pick a date until we picked our venue - and just went with what they had available. It was less stressful that way for us.

Not bein' a punk  - there obv. must be a reason you picked that date.

It's my sister and parents anniversary. And I'm guessing a bunch if other people's too lol. I'll just keep looking. My FI was the best man in a wedding at the Syndicate which is why I didn't want to do that. It was very nice. I'll call them tomorrow. This is just very stressful. I'm just glad my church is booked.

The place where I am getting married is in Norwood and it is a 100 year old church that was changed into a reception venue. It is beautiful. I have pics in my bio if interested.

What about 20th Century or the Redmoor?

Sam- it sounds like you are talking about st. elizabeth's...that's my venue, too! We are just having our reception there, and I'm so excited. It is such a great price and has the non-traditional banquet room vibe we were looking for. I'm sure it's not for everyone since you are required to set up yourself and find all your vendors, but it is perfect for us.

That is what I was going to ask... Is it St Elizabeth? I'll check them out. I don't know what I would do without you ladies! :-)

I just went to a wedding at the old Contemporary Arts Museum and it was beautiful, located downtown across from Fountain Square. I was very surprised I had never heard of it. The new owners did some renovation and renamed it - they are calling the place - The Center. I talked to the event planner and she said they've only held 3 events here so far. We're looking for something unique so we're booking! Lots of availability it seems like, as they just opened. Here's a link:

Let us know where you end up booking! Good Luck!
