Ring bearer attire?

For those of you with [human] ring bearers, what are you planning on asking them to wear, and where are you getting it from?

I had initally wanted our RBs to wear black pants, white dress shirts, and I'd ask their parents to get matching vests and ties. But looking at prices online, by the time their parents paid for the 4 pieces they may as well have gone with cheap boy's tuxedos anyway.

The tux place we went with for the men is really great and reasonably priced...for the men. They charge the same for a tux rental regardless of size or who's wearing it, so a boy's tux is the same as a men's tux, which is just crazy to me. We're getting flower girl dresses from Target's Easter selection for just that reason. So I really don't want to ask them to rent, especially as some family members are on a much tighter budget than others.

What is everyone else asking their ring bearers to wear?

My ring bearer (my son) is wearing the same tux as the groomsmen but he will not have the jacket which will save us 25 dollars.

We are having ours wear black pants, white/ivory shirt and tie. The groomsmen are wearing the same thing but with a jacket. I am going to post another thread about my RB's ties so that I don't hijack yours.

I was just going to post about this as well!

We recently picked out the men's attire and I was assuming the ring bearer's would be using their services as well. I got the prices for the groomsmen and then asked for the price for the ring bearers and they said it was the same price! They are 3 years old for crying out loud! I do not expect their parents to pay $140 for them to rent a suit! I am going to talk to them and see if they can coordinate some kind of little suit for them to wear that would be cheaper for them to purchase.

My RB is wearing black pants, white shirt & purple tie just like the "Big" guys. It took FOREVER to find the tie, but I found it(http://www.puddlescollection.com/boys/ties-and-vests-1.html) tonight for a resonable price ($12 with shipping) and it is very close to the GM ties(http://www.bows-n-ties.com/mens-tie-eggplant-purple-black-p-16114.html)

Providing FI's sister lets her son be our ringbearer, we'll likely just have him wear something he has. He goes to a Catholic school, so he has dress pants and dress shirts already.

I chose other.... it isnt set in stone yet becasue it will depend on what we can find on sale.

The current plan is for the ring bearers to wear matching suits (same as groom and groomsmen). If that is too expensive, we will look at renting the suits. If that doesnt work out, we will have them wear teh same color pants as the groom and groomsment and a white shirt with a tie/bow tie.

My FI already picked out the tuxes he wants the guys to wear. He will not let me see them, except he tells me that the ring bearer's tux will be identical to his own. I can't wait to see it.

We're going through Joseph A. Bank and they do 50% off the ring bearer's tux with 5 or more adult rentals. (We'll have 10, so now worries.) Plus we're buying each guy a gift card there as part of their gift since FI's tux is free with the 5 or more rentals.

I really like the look of dress pants, a longsleved button up shirt, tie if you want and a vest. I am not a fan of jackets on little boys.
