Does anyone have any suggestions for games to play at my friends bridal shower?

    Bridal Bingo
    Toilet Paper Dress

Those are the most common I know of. You can also look on TK or Google for ideas.

I have been to a few showers where everyone is given an item (necklace, snake toy - no joke, bell, etc) where every time someone says the bride's or groom's name, you take away that person's item. At the end, whoever has collected the most wins. (If you have 5 and then you say the name, whoever catches you gets all 5 of yours)

I have also seen a timer set in about 5 minute intervals. If the timer goes off when your gift is being opened, you get a prize. (I personally think that one is pretty cool - but at that shower, the timer went off during the opening of my gift so I'm a bit biased)

There are also variations of "How well do you know the bride/groom" and "How well does the bride know the groom." You can ask questions (first car, their first date location, birthday, favorite food, favorite color, etc) and guests answer. Whoever gets the most correct wins.  The other is to have the groom fill out his answers ahead of time. Then the guests are given the list of questions and then have to guess how many of those questions the bride will answer correctly.  The bride the answers the questions. Whoever guessed that number wins (And I thought that multiple people would win - at the last shower I attended, there were 20 questions and the bride answered 17 correctly. Only one guest had correctly guessed "17" out of about 55 women)

I have also seen cupcakes prepared ahead of time and a decoration differed from all the others - if you happened to get the differently colored cupcake, you won a prize. This can also be done by taping something under the seats before people sit down. (You can also tape something under one chair at each table if you are playing the toilet paper gown game - the person who is sitting on the chair with the item taped underneath gets to be the "Bride")

Guess the number of items in a jar - closest to the actual number wins. It can be candy or some type of wedding related item (mini rings, pon poms, etc)

Just some ideas. I think I've been to too many showers...

At my shower, as I was opening gifts a timer was set for random intervals of time (5 minutes, 8 minutes, etc). Everytime it went off ~ whosever gift I was opening at the time got a prize! It was really simple, but a big hit!

These games are great!  I also enjoy playing 'what's in your bag?' you start off by naming some regular everyday items...keys, lipstick, drivers license/ID, and you move along to some interesting ones...bcp's, a bible, estrogen pills...depending on your guestlist and crowd-you'll get a kick out of what people actually have in their purse!

i did a game for my friend...how well do you know the bride.  i just did it on Excel and printed it out.  we gave the winner a prize.  email me if you want me to send you the file.  TAD511 @ gmail. com

i have also been to a shower where they did the "how well does the bride know the groom" as PP said.  but everytime she got a wrong answer - she had to put a piece of bubble gum in her mouth.  (i guess the more gum in your mouth, the harder to focus and get the answers right)

i also started a new trend among my friends....instead of decorating a paper plate with all the bows from the gifts to make a hat - we decorated a bra!  then at the end, she puts it on over her clothes for photos.  i just got a $10 bra at Gap Body and used a stapler.

This isn't really a game but a cute poem that contains household items.  The shower that I went to they had purchased all the items and put them in a basket and took each item out as it was mentioned in the poem.

    Dear (Bride's Name):
You are entering a new ERA
There will come a THYME in your marriage when you find (Groom's name) is not always MR CLEAN.
But dont send out the S.O.S because he may VANISH.
(Groom's name) will always bring you CHEER and you will find that he is you white DOVE.
When you are together you will find JOY.
So remember your PLEDGE and give him your ALL.
    To (Bride and Groom)
The best of luck & Good Fortune in the years to come.
And may (Groom) always be your HONEY
