I should be cleaning house and doing laundry, but instead, I'm trying to find an in stock dress for our civil ceremony.

Saturday we are going to take our passport photos and fill out the paper work to get them. I have to renew mine and FI has to get one.

My weekend was okay, we were snowed in yesterday and it was kind of nice. This morning school was 2 hours late. We are expecting a possible blizzard from tomorrow til Weds. I am praying that I don't have to drive to school!!!

We did a lot of packing and started looking at gifts for the GMs & ushers.

We are going to pack a lot more this week, hoping to close next week Thursday but it seems like it may be delayed a bit, GRRRR

I JUST GOT MY PROMOTION! While it's not my dream job or what I went to grad school for, it's still a step in a better direction. And the extra money is much needed!

Also, just signed up for a month of "boot camp" in May with a friend of mine. My personal training sessions will be completed by then so I figure that will be a good time for last-minute toning up n whatnot.

WR: I'll be seeing my wedding dress for the first time this week when we go in for my MOH's first wedding dress fitting (we bought our dresses at the same store). So I'm pretty anxious about that.

congrats K8888!! so exciting!!!

my weekend was SO busy. i was traveling for work all day Friday. Saturday we went to a yoga workshop and then had dinner with my fiance's family.

Sunday we finished our registries, wrote our invitations, picked out bridesmaid gifts, and went to the tux store to pick our fiance's outfit and what the GM will be wearing. Then we had dinner with my aunt, uncle, and cousins, and were able to finally ask my cousins to be ushers and the youngest one will be our "program attendant".

this week is another busy busy work week for me!

Hi ladies!

We actually got a lot accomplished this weekend. We did our FOCCUS questionnaire, discussed the answers, then reviewed some essays in furtherance of our Pre Cana. It was helpful and I actually really am glad we "have" to do this! We have our private Pre Cana on Saturday, so we really had to get it done this weekend. I'm glad we finished it.

Third round of invitations also . . . we're for sure getting closer to what we want, but still have a few edits. I need to stop being so OCD about it.

I also started getting ambitious with my Pinterest and feeling crafty, so I've been speaking with my planner about a bunch of craft projects. We'll see how that actually turns out when I go to the craft store and get overwhelmed . . .

hahaha I was just thinking about this. And probably not... it's only going to get worse until it gets better since I'll be doing 2 jobs while they transition me into my new role. I still absolutely hate this company. :)

K8888 - congrats! Even if you don't like the job, at least you can feel good that they are recognizing your contributions. Sounds lame, but knowing that I'm valued does make a difference in how much I love or hate my job.

Not lame at all... I agree with you 100%. I was feeling really down about my job lately because it seemed the harder I worked, the more they ignored me. So it's definitely nice to finally be recognized!

I had the sh*ttest weekend ever!

My FI's grandfather ended up passing away. Totally sucks. I felt so bad for my FI.

on the WR side, we have our tasting this weekend, but I am waiting to see how my FI is to see if i need to cancel the appointment with the venue.

Oh, and there is potential snow storm the two days of the services this week just sucks. It is only MOnday and I am so OVER this week.

Winter quarter is winding down for me - so I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel right now and just waiting for Spring break. :o) Lots of catch-up homework this week.

Congrats K888 on the job offer!!

WR - Well probably nothing this week but maybe going out to reorder invitation envelopes. I want to get some of my DIY stuff done but I've been swamped at work and at home with school work.

NWR - We put an offer on a house today! It is kind of a low-ball offer but we should hear back by Wednesday afternoon about it. We saw it on Sunday and my realtor/boss told them we were going to make an offer and the listing agent called twice today to see what was going on so I'm hoping they are anxious about selling the place!! If so that will throw some wrinkles into the next few weeks of our lives but oh well all for the better.

I am so sorry! You and FI's family are in my prayers.
I am hoping to finish The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by the end of the week. We are going to take pictures of my dress problem and get those sent tomorrow. Hopefully everything will work out with that. I am looking for other dresses just in case.

The main focus this week for us is all things house-related so that we can set up an inspection and ideall close on or before the April 27th date that we were given. That would be ideal since we need to go through the house and sort through what we were given in the deal that we don't want and can sell.
