Your experiences with dress shops

Hi! I live in California but am coming to Oklahoma to go dress shopping with my mom. She lives close to Norman. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions about places to definitely go dress shopping and places to stay away from. Anywhere in Norman, OKC, Edmond area would be great.

It really just depends.  A lot of people have good luck at David's Bridal and at Alfred Angelo, but then a lot of people also have bad experiences at those places.

I had my dress made, so I didn't try any of the smaller bridal shops, but hopefully someone here can give you some good ideas of places to try.

If you are thinking about having a dress made, go to Bridal Showroom in Oklahoma City.  They are fabulous!

I got my dress at Pomp and Pagentry on S. Western in Oklahoma City.  They don't charge any extra for alterations and they are very reasonable in their prices.

I purchased my dress at Meg Guess Couture in downtown OKC. They have dresses in all different price ranges and the girls are absolutely fabulous to work with.

I am having my dress made, but Moliere Bridal in OKC was great. The owner personally helped me and was just fabulous! On the other hand, JJ Kelly Bridal in OKC was AWEFUL!! They were very rude to me and my mother. They wouldn't even tell me the name of the designer of the dress I liked. They just told me they would have it there in file until my wedding day. I recommend looking for reviews on different places before you go shopping. There were sooo many negative reviews for JJ Kelly. I wish I would have read them before I went.

I live in Norman and I loved Bridal Boutique.  Alfred Angelo was a nightmare for me.  My consultant spent the entire time bashing other dress shops.  I loved David's Bridal and I've heard Pomp and Pagentry is wonderful.  Hope this helps.
