Band Vs. DJ (budget)

Hey Ladies!

 We've just started on the planning journey and are trying to put our budget together. Which is less expensive dj or band? Also I know some bands can do a variety of music but a dj seems to be a good option for variety. Help! Laughing

    DJ's are usually a lot cheaper.  I am big on DJ's because I like hearing the original version of songs.  I am not a big fan of covers but I hear that bands are more interactive with the crowd.   Hope that helps.

    The DJ is definitely less expensive budget wise. However, a great band can make for a REALLY fun party.  I happen to love live music, so I am partial to bands.  We have a DJ because FI got a great deal on his services because they are fraternity brothers.

    Bands are so much fun! FI and I would definitely have a band if it was in our budget but it's just not so we're having a DJ. The right DJ can also make your party just as fun!

    Definitely a dj!  I would prefer a band, but can't afford it :(  But if you really want a band and you can find a really good and affordable band, I say go for it!

    Oh the great debate, bands can get pricey but I think entertainment is super important so it really just depends on the vibe you're going for

    We have both and the DJ is far less expensive.

     Thanks Ladies!!!  We want everybody to have a good time from our grandmas to our cousins in college, so we're still trying to decide. Dj's can play a good mix, but I love live music. My DH is asking all his boys for contacts and I'm excited about the date nights we can do to check everybody out. I'll keep you posted.
