job interview today. :(

Well i had my job interview this morning.

it sounded like it went really well! he even told me that i could get my wedding and honeymoon off and that i would be making "WAY MORE" so "that would be good" for me. (direct quotes from him).

He said that our of hundreds of applicants he chose 6 to interview and so i "made the first cut and should be proud of myself."
He said that it would be a very professional job and i would learn a lot.

i was VVERRYYY underqualified for this job so it is such an honor to have been considered.

BUT i did not get it.

please please pray that God will open up another door for me.

Sorry to hear this.  But keep your chin up.  This might be the closing of one door but another will open.  Hang in there.

    Yes He will :)

Said a prayer for you - Something better for you will come. I know how big a let-down job hunting can be, don't let it get to you, I'm sure you did wonderfully :)

    thanks joyful!

i really did! it was soo crazy!

in the beginning he asked me what some of my strenghts are and i said that i am very positive and energetic. I try to be uplifting and upbeat.

and when we were closing it up 30 minutes later he said "well i have 5 more interviews today and i will sit and think who is the best fit. Not just who is the more qualified, but who we think we will work best with. Because we may have someone who is less qualified but who has a great upbeat personality that will work great with our team!"

i totally thought i had it! i think (personally) that AT THAT POINT maybe he did think he was gonna hire me...but maybe someone came in who was more qualified.

i know i was extremely underqualified but it was awesome to be considered. it encourages me to keep trying. something will come up.

praying for you!  I had dozens of job interviews before I got my dream job.  I am so thankful none of the other interviewers decided to hire me because I would've never gone to the interview for the job I have now.

I had an experience exactly like that last semester. Not only was I underqualified, I was suuuuper young compared to the rest of the applicants (grad students, post docs). Congrats on being considered! He probably wasn't just telling you that and you really should be proud of yourself.

I'm praying that God will provide more opportunities. Stay strong. :)

I'm so sorry you didn't get it... PP's are right though- a door will be opened for you soon! I will pray. But it must make you feel good to know that he really liked you and would have liked to work with you. If he liked you, I'm sure all the other prospective employers you interview with will like you too!
