Chair/Table Cloth Color?

For the most part we will be using ivory instead of white throughout our wedding to go with the more vintage feel. However, the chairs being provided by our caterer our bright white. Will this look bad with ivory tablecloths or is it no big deal? My Mom and Nana say "no big deal", but was interested in your opinions as well.

Honestly - think of the weddings you've went too... what were the chair colors? If you're like me - I have no freaking idea! If it's in the budget, go ahead if you want, but if you need to cut corners, I say this is one of them...

If it's really going to bother you (it would bother me, but that's just me) and you have room in the budget, then do it. If you don't have room or don't really care, then don't.

I don't think it'll matter that much. Fiance and I have been to 8 weddings in the past 5 years and neither of us have ever reminisced about the chairs/tables at the wedding. We mostly talked about the people that were there, the food, cake, and the dancing...and maybe the centerpieces when they were too tall and blocking our friends and family across from us :P

My venue is providing standard linens and chair covers. I put colored linens and chair sashes last on my priority list.

I don't think it will be that big of a deal. Most people don't really care what color their chair is.

I've been to alot of weddings that have been inside venues and when you use ivory linens, it looks "dirty" and especially if there are white linens anywhere near the ivory ones......the lighting really effects this too.....

If you can, I would just use one of them, either all ivory or all white. Then accent using your other colors, decor...etc.

I wouldn't pay extra for chair covers. Most people won't notice the ivory vs white difference, especially if it's dark in the reception room. I think that's one of those things that not worth the extra money.

Thanks. I want ivory tablecloths because we are having a barn wedding and vintage theme. The only options for chairs from our caterer are bright white or black I think. I know that I could rent brown chairs from someone else, which I would prefer, but they would be more expensive.

We don't have it in our budget so it'll have to work I guess lol.
