To Wax or Not to Wax

Hi Ladies (and any Gents) I am currently in Manhattan thinking about all things wedding! My wedding is next May and I just want everything to be perfect!

So, to wax...or not to wax. I've heard horror stories as well as success stories about waxing for the big day! I only get my eyebrows waxed...but, I want EVERYTHING gone because we'll be going on a tropical honeymoon.

Any thoughts...experiences? I am open to it all!

Thanks in advance,

Madison

I wouldn't try anything for the first time right before the big day. If you're considering a new hair removal regimen, now is a good time to start. That way, when May rolls around, you'll have a person you like and trust and you'll know what to expect. Everyone's skin responds differently to this type of treatment.

Regarding eyebrows, have you ever tried threading? It is a far superior process to waxing. Better for your skin and just as effective, if not more really! You should check it out!
  • Wax!  No question about it.  There are many many places to go but if you want to splurge and get it done right, go to Completely Bare.
    Anniversary
  • I had have both experiences, so I would just start looking for a good place to try it first. Of course you dont want any irritations before your honeymoon, so just try it now and depending on the experience do it before your big day! Good Luck :)
  • J Sisters. They know what they are doing and use good wax. You may be blotchy for a couple of hours, but that's it.

  • Definitely wax a couple of days before! I have been to quite a few places in the city (including Completely Bare twice which was not great, especially considering the price). I highly recommend Elizabeth at Eve Salon on 8th St. She is amazing and you will be in and out in 15 minutes.
