Sending Invites Question

If my wedding is July 8th when should I send out my invites?

Also, do the bridal shower invites go out after the wedding invites even though I sent a save the date?

    My wedding is July 30th and I'm sending my invites out the first week of May. I think it's a little early, but I'm okay with that. It'll give people two months to respond.

    I'm not doing any of the planning for my shower, but I have a hunch that invites went out last week because I noticed that gifts are starting to be purchased from my registries. (Ahhhh! It's all becoming so real!). This is obviously before my wedding invites get mailed. As far as when to send out shower invites, I would imagine it all depends on how much time you are giving people to RSVP. Since the shower is before the wedding I always thought those invites went out sooner, but if it's real close to the wedding, I guess it's possible that people receive wedding invites sooner....

    We are getting married July 23 and will be sending the invites out around May 16. I also think my shower invites went out last week. My shower will be a good 2 months before the wedding, so thats why they went out sooner.
