So I love my MOH she is my cuz!!!
She found my venue which was also the caterer and that lead to the videographer. Also she found amazing photographers but they lead me to our photographer (had to refer bc of booking)
So she is prety much planning my wedding for me!
Well its a place called Gioanni's Tattoria (spelling) in Concord...amazing amazing Italian restaurant!!! I went with my MOH her hubby, FI me, my dad, my brother and his gf!
The food---makes my mouth water just thinking about it!!
The place--way older than 100 yr old building with the orginal features in tact!
The party room--upstairs seperate from the other dining guests. There was once a drs office upstairs in this building and his old sign is still on the door! Just enough room for lots of space for my RD guests...holds 50 pppl we figure 35ppl coming to RD. We will have room ALL DAY and the fee $100!!!!
additional plus--they buy all ingrediants FRESH at the market the day OF and everything is peanut allergy friendly. the 2 head cheifs are severly allergic--like peanuts comes near them they need the ER.
we can bring a cake but it can't contain peanuts or peanut extract--dont need to kill the cooks now!!!
PER PERSON: they won't charge us for a small child and my friends are in their baby making stages so I figure we will have children 6-1 ages there about 7
They don't do formal contracts they go off a handshake and I think I am ok with that only Because my cuz called for me and asked if we could meet and told them the date I would want to book (june 3). Then called back to change our reservation from 6 ppl to 7 and referenced that we wanted to meet about June 3rd booking and they said someone else has requested that date and my cuz goes yeah that was me I called yesterday we haven't been yet b/c we are coming tonight! HAHA the owner has a very detailed planner.
All we have to do it contact the in-laws and tell them!!
i hope they book it!!!!!
QUESTION: if we book this do you think its acceptable that we put aside a certain dollar amt for alcohol--like and this is just a thought $500.00 and pick out a few different wines (a dry/sweet/red/white/bride and groom favorite) and beer for them to serve. Guests can drink til that $500 is gone after that they buy their own..I mean it IS the RD after all. we would pre select the entrees for guests and it would be buffett style b/c that is most cost effectlive!
they close at 10:00 and so we won't be there much after that..rehersal is at 4-5 20 minutes away. I would imagine that ppl wouldnt want to drink a lot being 25 minutes from their hotel rooms /> but mostly young ppl will be at our RD too. Parents will be the oldest.
