  The soonest hotels will allow you to.  There's no disadvantage to doing it early.  The info should be included on your STDs

  That's true.  Since our wedding is over Memorial Day weekend IN LAS VEGAS, maybe the earlier the better before room rates spike.  Thanks for your insight

  We're getting married in Vegas on Memorial Day. We have our blocks already because I'm sending out the STDs soon. It's good info to put on your wedding website, if you decide to do one.

  I've been working on this part for a month or so.  Mine is memorial day weekend also, there are not that many hotels and quite a few venues, so they are starting to fill up already actually.  You never know if some random event is happening (in one of the towns there is a big car show that weekend) so start checking early! I also have tons of out of town people.  This has been the worst part of planning so far

  I called the hotel we are using for our guests yesterday to inquire about a block, and she said it is definitely not too early for a May 4 wedding. I imagine most places are like this one where you do not get charged for rooms that aren't booked; they just get released to the public closer to the wedding.

  Most definitely before invites go out so you can include the block info with the invites. I've already got mine settled, lol.

  We did ours a few months ago, since we are getting married on Memorial Day weekend. We put the information on our website, and put the URL on the STD so that our guests already have the information. I'd say the sooner the better!
