Getting in Shape weekly thread

Sigh - still no weight loss, but getting better on the exercise routine...

Went to the gym and watched the Suns game on Monday...skipped my run yesterday morning - but hiked Camelback after work, so think that counts pretty well - legs are a bit sore today.

I"m sorry you're frustrated. Weight loss and fitness are cumulative. Every little thing counts, so kudos to you for working out regardless!

I re-started Weight Watchers last week and lost 3 pounds. I'm starting week number 2 and I know that this will be a tough week, I still feel hungry and have loads of cravings. Gotta stay strong!

I gained weight... I'm now not eating anything until the wedding :(  I have to fit into my dress, and my new muscles are making it hard hahahaha

P.S. just kidding about the not eating. More like not eating dessert :)

Nilla - I'm sure you'll be fine - laugh, but I'll probably be splurging on chocolate to calm the nerves the week beforehand too - I better plan that in :) good thing my dress is a corset!

I haven't weighed myself this week but last week I was down about 2 lbs so I was happy with that! Of course I didn't go walking for 3 days and cheated during a girls happy hour (hehe). But I am being good today! I started logging all of my food and I feel like that has really helped me.

Marissa - do you use a website to log your food?

I've been logging my calories etc on thedailyplate, com, which is a Livestrong site.  It's been a great way to keep track of what I'm eating and pretty much has the calorie/fat count on anything you could possibly eat.  I've been doing it a little over a month now and have lost about 6 lbs without a ton of effort. What was shocking to me was how much sugar I eat.  So my goal is to keep down my sugar intake which seems to be working:)  I still need motivation to get my workout routine consistent, but I've got some time (haven't even set a date yet).

Hey Jaci! I have an iPhone app that tracks the calories/food/nutritional info. It is pretty much like Live Strong but on the go! I used Live Strong before and I liked it. For me though, the iPhone app though beause I always forgot to log it on the website. It is amazing how much tracking your food can help! I even got my FI to start tracking.

    Hey Marissa,
I downloaded the livestrong iphone app, but it's so small I'm bad at using it.  I find it easier just logging in my food at work.  I also got my FI interested in logging his food, but he's an avid cyclist so it was telling him that in order to maintain his weight he has to eat 5,000 calories a day!  Lucky guy;)  Anyway, it's going good for me so far other than the occasional cheat. I'm really struggling with maintaining a consistent exercise routine.  I work long days and have a really hard time getting motivated.  Gotta work on that now!
