Thank you cards

Do the thank you cards have to be hand written or can a pretyped message be okay?

  • I think pretyped cards are awful.  TY cards are one of those things that you can't do any other way but handwritten and personalized.

    I think a pre-typed message is rude, sorry. When someone gives you a gift, of course you want to send a sincere thank you. And it isn't possible for a general, pretyped mass-printed message to be sincere.

  • handwritten is the best... like PP said... it shows that you took the time to write them a specif message...

  • Handwritten is better.  You need to do a personalized message to each person.
  • If you have a huge physical malady and your FI / DH does as well then I could possibly understand a typed TY note as long as you sign the card.  But the typed note needs to be personal.

    A pre-typed mass note is really rude.  It's just a step above not sending a TY note at all.
