LA/SFV Kosher venues?

Hello everyone! I am having a tough time finding a venue that allows for kosher catering - that won't break the bank for 200 guests. Silly me thought $100pp to cover food and venue fees would be sufficient, but it's not (unless it's at the Sephardic Temple on Wilshire - of which I'm not a fan).

I am looking for a venue that has an outdoor space for the ceremony and an indoor space for a reception for 200 guests. What I find to be very frustrating are venues requiring a buyout of their caterer and then I have to pay for kosher catering on top of it. I would use house catering if I could... but they just aren't kosher.

Anyway, I would love any suggestions you might have. Many thanks.

I know it's not cheap, but the Four Seasons in Westlake has a kosher kitchen on site. I bet there are some other hotels that do as well.

Sportsman's Lodge does it.  A non-kosher meal pp is about $40, so I bet kosher would be under $100.

I was also going to recommend Sportsman's Lodge. If they can't help though, what about asking your temple for recs?

Thanks, I'll have to check out the Sportsmen's Lodge. I really appreciate the suggestion! Plus... I just got my fiance's family's list... it's looking like 61 for me and 171 for them. Oh boy.

Coming from another frustrated bride to be in the same situation, I too was thinking Sportsman's Lodge, but they charge $1000/hr for the outside garden for ceremony, then for reception it is $30/pp if 200 people and above or $35/pp if under 200 people plus your catering, not including a bar package, which is another outside cost; the Sportsman's Lodge does not offer a Bar package for kosher catering, just a soda bar. They do not include China and silverware...you have to get that via the caterer, which is an additional cost. I finally settled on the Warner Center Marriott because they do have kosher catering onsite, which is RCC and with strict supervision.

Wow... thanks for the heads up. I had also checked out the Calamigos Equestrian Center in Burbank and was very surprised by their pricing as well ($55pp plus catering... averages out to $172pp or so with a basic bar (plus tax and service fee). Crazy. Thanks for the Marriott suggestion. It looks like a nice venue and I'll certainly check it out.

Another place I just spoke with today is the Hidden Chateau in West Hills. They too have kosher catering... I'll be seeing the place at the end of the month.
