We've finally picked a date. March 5, 2011.  So much for 18 months! : )
I'm so excited to finally have a set date!

    YAY! It takes so much pressure off to have the solid date...everybody else is so right...now the specifics of planning kick in (for me--the FUN part!)  :) Congrats!

    That is my date, too! :)

    I have my vendors pretty much booked, but the last couple (hair & makeup, band) were already filling up quickly, so you may want to put a rush on the booking!

    Thanks everyone!
    We're putting down a deposit on the Japanese Gardens this week.  Is it sad I have been researching Farmer's Almanac for weather/rain possibilities?  I know it's not 100%, but 80% accurate gives me SOME peace of mind.  haha

    Brianna - We were thisclose to choosing March 27th!  But FI's step brother was married last year on the 26th and I didn't even want to deal with the possibilty of hearing the comments from that part of the family.

    Honey, I researched the Farmer's Almanac too - I actually ended up moving my ceremony location because of it!  I originally opted for an outdoor wedding, but the last 2 March's in Texas - it's snowed!

    Hmmmm....yeah I didn't look at the snow.  Maybe I'm not looking in the right place.  I may need to rethink this venue idea!

    Maybe not - but since yours is the beginning of March, snow may be a concern (it snowed over Spring Break last year)!  Just find out if your venue has a place to have an indoor ceremony.  Mine didn't - so I moved the ceremony to an indoor chapel.

    i just called. They do have one.  I will have to check it out when I go by. 

    I can't believe I forgot about the snow last year seeing as it was on the day of my son's birthday party.  I'm a little scattered this week. : )
