Need creative idea QUICK!

so- the wonderful heat wave and drought we are facing now in south texas (well, everywhere is!) has effected our wedding exit plans. We had planned to do sparklers but with the burn ban in effect the location is not allowing them. Our wedding is September 3 so i need to find an alternative very quickly! I do NOT want bubbles though so i need to see what else people have done or seen...any ideas please send my way!

I have been to a wedding where they had streamers.

They essentially had a bunch of dowels and then tied ribbon in their wedding colors to the end. We then waved those as they exited. Here is a picture of something similar I found on google.

And now we are as one

I've heard of having them throw rose petals, I think that sounds very pretty as well.  I like the streamers idea too!

I really like the paper plane idea based upon your wedding style. It's quirky and different.

What about sky lanterns?  You can purchase them or you can find a DIY guide on the web.  If you have a lot of people at your wedding it would be really pretty.

we did rose petals - seems like it would be really pretty with rose petals sprinkling down, but it was more like clumps of petals pelting us (my face was either ducked down or scrunched in the pics b/c i was trying not to get them in my eyes or mouth) and i had to scoop petals out of the bust of my dress after (yes, i'm not well-endowed; i even had petals make it down to my bodice that were plastered to my skin after the reception). so . . . not as romantic as it would seem.

the best pics were when we had walked through and were smiling b/c we'd made it unscathed, and you could still see petals falling behind us.

I've always been fond of the idea of having guests throw either wild flowers seeds or dried lavender buds.

Thanks ladies! We have decided to go with streamers. I ordered some off on etsy shop online!
