Re: Wedding Help Thursday
[QUOTE]Would love to solicit an opinion / insight from anyone doing the out-of-town goody bags. A lot of my guests have taken it upon themselves to not book in the hotel room blocks that I reserved (and I booked four so I'm kind of annoyed - there's a price point for just about everyone!). People are concerned about their hotel points, about saving $10, etc. So, my question is - what do you do with guests who aren't staying at the blocked hotels? Do I waste my time tracking down everyone's hotel and then delivering goddy bags to every hotel? Is it fair for me to say, "Tough luck, you're not at the blocked hotel so I'm not dealing with you"? Also, would you leave goody bags for local friends who get a hotel for the night of the wedding? I'm torn because they're spending a lot of $$$ to stay over (smart move, though, with an open bar), but they're also local. Would love to solicit feedback / thoughts on this one!

I did not do OOT goody bags, but if I did I would have done them only for those who stayed at the hotel with our wedding block. I would have included the 1 night friends, they might be able to use any water/food included in the goody bags to overcome any hangovers, also related to the open bar

i.e.
Recessional
Grand Entrance
Cake Cutting
Bouquet/Garter Toss
Last Song of the Night
kinmir- we haven't figured out music yet />_< sigh... been meaning to for about a month now. oops!
I posted a thread on the Washington board, but that place is dead. I want to do airbrushing in Bellingham for my wedding day, but can't find anything... *sigh* someone needs to be more familiar with bham for me :P
Kinmir:
Processional: Air in G by Bach
Bride: Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring
Recessional: Married Life from Up
Grand Entrance: A Korean song called "I Love You" by S.E.S (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4XopogbEdw)
Cake Cutting: Kiss Me by Sixpence None the Richer (I had no idea we had to do this until my planner asked me)
Bouquet/Garter Toss: Not doing one
Last Song of the Night: Black Eyed Peas "Tonight's Gonna Be a Good Night"
[QUOTE]kin - the songs that I've got so far: Processional: Honored guests (aka moms and grandmas) and bridesmaids: Canon in D Bride's entrance: Prince of Denmark's March (aka Trumpet Voluntary), and I actually hired a trumpet player for it Recessional: Vivaldi's Spring from the Four Seasons, again with trumpet Grand entrance: No freakin' clue, thanks for reminding me that I need a song for that! Cake cutting: We probably won't have a specific song for that Bouquet / Garter Toss: we're not doing those Last song of the night: we're getting lots of encouragement to play Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" and I'm inclined to agree because that seems like a great song to end the night on.

We're thinking of doing Canon in D and Vivaldi's Spring as well! :)

I put his info on the emergency officiant page, but we are working with Mike Rohrback. He is a pastor. He's super fun and laid back to work with. He's all about making the ceremony what you want. He does require a couple of pre-marital counseling sessions. His email is mike@runtowin.org
