Westin Mt Laurel--disappointed

My wedding is in September and I booked in May.  My fiance and I remember the conversation we had with Melanie about how our day/timing would run.  We had everything figured out and we were told that it is now NOT going to work that way because she booked another wedding too close.  She then went and called my parents liar and changed her story and explanation around and I am FURIOUS.  She was selling us stacking the weddings far enough apart and now the cocktail hours are AT THE SAME TIME!!!!  are you kidding me!!!  I dont want to be taken away from my reception to take pictures which is why we booked the way we did.  Sorry this is all over I am just so irritated right now!!!  Melanie is AWFUL. She has not returned calls...never sent information that was requested...she raised her voice...at this point I am so ready to elope...my day is supposed to be special and she is just making me want to SCREAM!!!

    I feel your pain. Try and remain calm. When it comes to her, unfortunately get EVERYTHING in writing. Secondly, emails and phone calls aren't the best way to communicate with her. This sounds harsh, but you need to get her face to face and explain things to her like she's 5.  Its a damn shame that it has to be this difficult to work with her, but that is what has gotten us the best response when it comes to her.

    One of my other vendors has worked with her on numerous weddings and stated that she is very frazzled and that you have to stay on her as$, however come the day of, everything runs perfectly. Its hard to do, but you have to stay on her and trust that your day will be perfect.

    I could go on and on about how frustrating it has been to deal with her, however I just keep remembering that it's a beautiful venue and that between my mother and our wedding coordinator, they'll get her in line so the problems will be few and far between.

    I am so close to just calling it all off and eloping.  She has me so upset and its not worth it. Not for one day.

    I think the meeting that took place the other day sorted a lot of the 'confusion' out and she has a clear understanding of our expectations. She also knows that our tolerance for B.S is non existant, so I think it will be smooth sailing from here. Its unfortunate that you have to get down right nasty with someone in order to come to an understanding, but if thats what it took, then so be it.

    Try not to let her get you down, and definitely do not let her ruin your day or give up on your day.

    I understand how frustrating this kind of thing is!  Have you considered contacting a manager to try to get things worked out?  Do you have any of the things she said in email?  If not, I would strongly suggest using email as your primary means of communication for that specific reason.

    We are going to meet again, this time with all of us present,  and im requesting another person be presen (her manager or something)t....everything from here on out Im requestiing in wriiting and signed by all.  I really dont want to deal with her at all.  She has cause many issues because of this. So many....
