sometimes I feel like not applying for jobs becuase I'm tired of the rejection.

    I'm sorry, busy.  If they are stupid enough to reject you, they are too stupid for you to work for.

    Your job is out there. It is normal to feel this way, but the sheer number of people looking, and the cutbacks that companies are doing is the reason.

    I know a few people that are doing the jobs of three people because they aren't going to hire new people.

    I hear you. Except I don't even get rejections. I have yet to get more than the "we received your resume" form email.

    DH was getting to that point.  Or he was getting offers $20-30k less than what he's making, um no.
