My boss likes to use this phrase but uses it wrong.  "In lieu of the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow, please feel free to leave at noon today."

    I have a co-irker who uses words and phrases wrong all.the.time.  I've given up correcting her.  She's a full-fledged-fvcktard.

    dh and i have fights about "wherein" and "whereby."  it may or may not descend into namecalling.

    She likes to throw "myself" in at random when she is feeling fancy. 

    "Hello, on the the call thus far are Steve, Karen and myself.  Please forward revisions on these schedules to myself. Steve and myself will be assembling the final packet once those revisions are received."

    My boss used "ie" wrong all the time. She'd just randomly throw it in the middle of sentences.

    "Because tomorrow's, ie, <finger quotes /> a holiday, we get to leave early."

    FI constantly surprises me with his extensive vocabulary.

    Boss, however, is like nails on a chalk board with his made-up words and words used incorrectly. I can't think of any at the moment though. The smell of lunch is overwhelming.
