Mallard or Bonnet Island or Ashford Estate

Has anyone gotten married or attended a wedding at any of these venues? Any thoughts or advice?

my grandparents live right by bonnet island.. i always wanted my wedding there, my parents were willing to do it but it seemed like alot of extra work with the catering situation & i was afraid it may look a little country ish.. my friends went to a wedding there and said they really werent impressed with the food or the place ..

the new one mallard seems very manly but kinda cool

Mallard is beautiful.  And catering is not a hassle - I'm not sure why your friend had such a problem.

I do think that Mallard is much more stunning than Bonnet.  Mallard has a gorgeous room and dance floor while Bonnet offers a barn.  Definitely go check them out!

The Mallard Island is so beautiful. If I could afford to have my wedding there I would!!
Just the bridal suite is amazing!! I like the look of Bonnet also but not as much as The Mallard Island.

The Ashford Estate is the new one right? I saw pictures on facebook and it looks amazing. There is a facebook page on each with pictures and reviews. I think all 3 are beautiful venues.

I've heard both places are beautiful. I was a  little disappointed that you can't do fireworks on any of the properties, though.

Friends of mine looked at Mallard and Bonnet Island and loved both places.
I am sure your photos will come out gorgeous!

Hi! I'm getting married at The Ashford Estate next April. It's breathtaking and whenever FI and I contact them or stop by, we feel completely spoiled. We are sooo excited!

We visited Bonnet and Mallard as well and I don't think you can go wrong at either, honestly. Bonnet was beautiful, sort of had an Outer Banks, North Carolina, feel to it and Mallard was our second runner-up (simply stunning!) but once we visited The Ashford, that. was. it. We were sold!! If you have any questions, I'm happy to help.

Hi I can't seem to find any info on the price per person-can you giver me a hint? Kathy
  • I've been to the Mallard Island Yacht Club and the Bonnet Island Estate. If you're looking for a luxury yet casual wedding I would definitely go with the Bonnet Island Estate. If you're in the market for a complete luxury beachfront wedding go for the Mallard Island Yacht Club. I haven't been to the Ashford Estate but I'm sure it's fabulous. I have actually debated between all three of them along with the Pleasantdale Chateau. The only downside to The Ashford Estate is there is no real hotels around for the guests to stay. Aside from a bed and breakfast it will be a drive after they leave the wedding. Food for Thought. Hope I helped!
