Static Cling Wedding

HELP!!!  My dress is a polyester blend and the amount of static is OUTRAGEOUS!  Is there a way i can reduce it with out the chemical smell of Static Guard?!?!

    Try rubbing dryer sheets on it- that should help.

    Try using dryer sheets already run through the dryer once.  The smell won't be so overpowering as fresh from the box.  I did that once to prevent panty hose from clinging to a skirt and I swear all I could smell all day was the dryer sheet!

    Yeah, dryer sheets are awesome for static. When I straighten my hair, I frizz really bad. My cousin and I both keep boxes of dryer sheets to rub on our heads.

    i agree- dryer sheets!  I"ve also found that a mixture of water and hairspray works (thats all i had on me at the time. haha) -- though i've only used that on dark colored clothing - not sure if it would stain something light colored!

    i do the dryer sheet on the head trick too =P  that, or a little bit of hand lotion.  works great!
