Info about venues in Madison

Hey everyone!  My fiance and I are planning our Madison wedding from Colorado.  Were hoping to get married near Sept. 1st, 2012.  We've narrowed down the venues we like to the Quivey's Grove in Fitchburg and the Holiday Inn on the west side.  Quivey's Grove looks like more of our style, but the Holiday Inn would be really convenient for our out of town guests (his whole family lives in Michigan so there will be a lot of out of towners).  My mom is kind of pushing for the Holiday Inn, but we just can't picture ourselves getting hotel.  I just wanted to see what you guys had to say about experiences (wedding related or not) you've had with either of these places.

Thanks!

I love Quivey's Grove! They have amazing food and such a beautiful venue. There is a hotel right next to Quivey's Grove, I think a Holiday Inn, so that would be convenient.

    HTH!

I've never been to a wedding at Quivey's, but I do love it there!  There is a nice hotel next door, Country Inn and Suites so it would be convenient too.

We just went to a wedding at the Holiday Inn and it was very nice.  The food was very good and the servers/bartenders were very polite.  We had a great time.  The hotel was fancier than I anticipated too :)

I've been to both places for weddings, and either would be very nice, but personally I prefer Quivey's Grove. There is a hotel right next to it - a Country Inn and Suites. I was the personal attendant for a friend who was married at Quivey's and I had to go back and forth to the hotel a couple times...no big deal at all since they are so close. Don't go with a hotel reception if you don't want to. Quivey's and Country Inn are both great! Plus, if you are planning on doing the ceremony at Quivey's as well I think that would actually make it easier on your guests since it's only one location to get to
