Snarky Brides

Sunday Night

Hi guys.  I'm getting ready to start dinner and being bored.  H is at work so I got the day to myself which was really nice.  Right now, I am hiding from my neighbors.  On one side they always want to tell me their relationship drama and "emergency" babysit their 7 year old who likes to steal and pee on things like couches.  On the other side, the lady comes by 2-3 times per week  asking me to go get her things and give her things.  She literally watches for me to drive up like a stalker.  I used to feel bad for her until she had me wait outside for 20 minues in 107 degree heat while she took a phone call to tell her daughter why she did not need anyone's help.

Ok enough complaining about my neighbors.  How's everyone's evening?

Re: Sunday Night

  • My neighbors are currently in competition to see who can park the most Toyotas in their driveways/on the street.  At least that's the only explanation for the ridiculous number of cars in my neighborhood right now. It's ridiculous.

Other than that, we're just waiting for some storms to roll through. I really hope they don't scatter when they hit the cities. We could really use some rain... and a break from the 95 heat index. (At 8pm! WTF)

<div>THAT'S RIGHT. Ok. I may have just decided to splurge on the $15/mo.  I was trying to hold out.</div>

H and I wasted most of the day. We finally went to the grocery store about an hour and a half ago, so now I'm eating burritos and H is waiting for his quiche to be done. This kid is demanding Mexican food, and I don't have a problem with that.

  • That sucks about your neighbors. We're really lucky that everyone in our building gets along well and are relatively sane. We took it easy today which was really nice. It was really hot out so we spent most of our day watching Game of Thrones in our bedroom. It is the only room with a/c. FH made a cake today which came out surprisingly well considering he never cooks.

  • I'm vegging for a while, but I need to do the dishes.  DH was gone all weekend camping (I confess I enjoyed my time alone very much - I don't mind when he wants a boys trip).

<div>That's awesome.  Having good meighbors is a treat.  We are looking for a place 20 miles away where we work, but have not had the best luck yet.  I'm hoping some better places open up soon.  So far it's scary shacks or houses way outside our budget.  </div>

  • It's very much a cultural thing.  The neighbors across and next to us are both Hmong families; there are the parents and 3-4 grown kids (with spouses and their kids) living together. So, they have people who are driving all the cars. Whatever.  But if they have any company at all, it's insane how many cars there are.  I think it's worse because the two houses are right across from each other too.

On a side note. The damn storm is completely side-stepping us. I'm pissed.  It's almost humorous how this always happens.
  • I got drunk with my neighbor yesterday. It was nice..I don't have many friends here since we aren't around much so I'm glad that I've got someone cool real close.

I love Chris Meloni. I've never watched True Blood though :(

I'm currently trying to get un-pissed at an uncle and cousin. They were diiicks to my parents this weekend and I don't tolerate people being disrespectful to my parents (I wasn't there). I'm thinking they may not come to the wedding now and honestly I'd be fine with that. There is so much drama potential with some of our guests it's ridiculous. People better put their adult pants on or I'm gonna go off on folks.

  • Good evening. I just got done making tacos for FI. I don't know how he is eating again after our huge lunch at 3. We are watching the new episode of Snapped and then we will watch Sister Wives. I've never seen True Blood. I saw it in Netflix a few days ago and will probably do a marathon this wee after work.

  • Yeah he is.

Anyone know something simple to make with ground beef?  I've got nothing.  It's usually meatloaf or spaghetti and that does not sound good tonight.

Sorry for being a pw tonight.  I'm attempting to talk more and not just posting once a week ish. lol

  • Tacos?  Nachos with ground beef on top?  Burgers?  Sorry I'm not much help - I always make meatloaf.  Or my daughters make cheeseburger macaroni hamburger helper (I know it's gross but we love it).

  • There's nothing interesting going on here tonight.  My fiance has spent pretty much all day studying.  He's taking the Bar Exam in July.  We went to an open house engagement party for a friend of his from nursery school (the parents are friends really).  There were way more people than I expected.  I knew a total of three people there (FI and his parents).
This was not exactly how I wanted to spend my Sunday.

  • I'd probably make chili, but it's too hot for that here tonight.

  • It's pretty laid back here tonight. DH is playing a video game while I work on dictations. I had 75 to do this weekend, and I'm down to the last 10 or so. The end is in sight!

  • Les had good ideas tacos or taco salad if you don't have tortillas, nachos, sloppy joes, burgers. Taco seasoning can be made with just some household spices you don't need a packet and the same with sloppy joes.

  • I'm here watching Mad Men and eating crackers and cheese. H just called from Orlando prepping for his presentation tomorrow.

    I love nachos!

Yeah, nachos and hamburgers are my go tos when I have ground beef to use up. You can just use garlic and onion for spices if you want to keep it simple, but still tasty. I also enjoy a basil/black pepper combo that is delicious with cheddar cheese.
  • We had a taco packet so that's what we are having.  Hope it turns out.
