Hi!
My name is Melissa and I'm 25. My SO/FI is 27 and we've been together for almost 4 years.
About 16 months ago, SO/FI decided he wanted to pursue his lifelong dream of joining the Army, and after a lot of research and talking to Army wives, I decided to follow him along on this dream. In December, he will leave for OSUT and we begin our Army adventure!
We are not officially engaged (meaning he hasn't dropped to his knee and put a ring on it yet) but as far as mentality is concerned, we are engaged. We plan to get married in November of this year by a JOP with just our immediate family (due to when he's leaving for the Army and knowing we want to be married before he goes) and then have a VR with the traditional ceremony and reception the following year. We've already started planning the big one!
Just looking for new ideas, a place to chat about wedding stuff without overwhelming the SO/FI, and to get new perspectives on things!
