How do you feel about choregraphed bridal party dance? If you doing one are you choregraphing it yourself or having someone do it for you? I think we might go with a fun choregraphed dance but I feel a little lost on what to do...
No offense, but if i were expected to do that for a wedding I would dread it. No matter how outgoing your bp might be, a choreographed dance is uncomfortable to participate in, and as a spectator, uncomfortable to watch.
I feel like they are a bit corny and wouldn't participate. I guess it depends on your WP and family but I've yet to see a good one. Just go watch some on youtube, totally corny.

I think if you want to do a choregraphed dance, then it should be you and FI/DH. I think those are cute, but when you throw 6 - 20 more people in the mix it begins to get uncomfortable and sometimes lasts way too long. I honestly like the ones where the bride and groom do a part slow/part fast song and it's all choregraphed, but don't think I'd be too keen on watching a whole bridal party do it. Save the show for you and your hubby!
Well, I have a different take than the prior posters.
I LOVE "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain. It always makes me want to dance! I have one very outgoing friend in my bridal party like myself who doesn't mind being the center of attention. Not sure we'll get around to actually choreographing anything because she lives out of state. It's in my mind, on the back burner. I have to talk to my teen daughter and my fiance's, as well as my other friend. May or may not happen, but I'd love to pull off something like that if my female attendants are willing.
You know your family, friends and bridal party. If they are willing, and you think it won't fall flat on the guest's impressions, then go for it.
I am not a big show person. I had a few members of my bridal party asking if we could. I agree with thinking its corny (I've watched my fair share of them on youtube). I guess I feel a little pressured to do it by some people. I think after reading you responses I will skip the choregraphed bridal party dance. Thanks everyone!
My family keeps trying to get me to agree to do a choreographed dance down the aisle with our bridal party (thanks to youtube). I laugh and politely say that I'm not interested.

I am not a fan of the whole BP dancing, it's just too hard and cumbersome to get everyone together. I had a few BP members ask about it too and they would do great at it, however, there are other members that would be uncomfortable with it. I wasn't about to put that expectation on the entire BP.
It was a little expected that DH and I would do one. We searched online to watch a few and also thought they were corny. We wanted something really fun and upbeat without being cheesy. We signed up for swing lessons, thinking a lindy hop would be fun. We didn't get what we wanted out of it and decided to stop taking the lessons after the first one. We ended up choreographing one on our own to Usher's OMG. It was a hit and a ton of fun. We didn't make it too long, we just did the first part that Usher sang.
If I were you, I would do one with just your FI, not the whole wedding party. There may be just one person that is uncomfortable with it, and IMO I would't want to put them in that position.

<div>LOL, I can't say it any better. </div>
I think it's one of those things that it's better in theory than in reality.
