Beach Venue Help!

Please help!! I am getting increasingly nervous/frustrated with this whole wedding planning thing..lol. I have been engaged since January, and I have not accomplished anything wedding related except for buying my wedding dress.

We were hoping to be married next March, and no later as I didnt want a summer wedding. I had my heart set on the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, but since their renovations, their prices have tripled and are no longer in our price range. I want a beach wedding and perfer a low key beachy reception. Its not going to be a large wedding, 80ppl tops. I also didnt want to have it at a restaurant, as we would like to have an area where people can dance.

Here is where I need advice/help! I need to keep the cost of the wedding down as much as possible, so no more than 10K. I am willing to look at any location from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. I am seriously not that picky as long as the location is nice

I am to the point where I think I need some kind of wedding planner to help with finding a potential venue, any reccommendations with that is welcome as well!

I looked at Sheraton, Crowne plaza Hollywood Bch, and B Ocean I didnt look there but I pass it a lot on the beach, prices were reasonable but that was back in Dec an since I know prices have gone up.

I loved my wedding at B Ocean

We did "lunch" from 3:30- 7:30. Both the ceremony and reception were upstairs, inside and even though it rained we had a gorgeous view of the ocean the whole time. HTH!

Christina, I've been looking for a beach/garden venue also! I've been doing a lot of research and came across this one venue called The Omphoy Ocean Resort. It's in Plam Beach and right on the water...so definitely a good view and great for pictures!

I'm also going to this bridal show called the wedding salon next monday and i saw on their website that the Omphoy Ocean Resort is going to be there! Great way to get information for their prices and all that. If youre interested I got tickets for free and used WSMC as the promo code. I hope this helped!! Good luck!!
