Anyone out there had or will have their reception at Il Villaggio (NJ)?  My hubby-to-be and I are considering this venue and are looking for input!

    We went to a wedding there a year ago for our good friends. The place was beautiful, food was great, and overall had a great time. The couple seemed to be very pleased with it as well.

    I am actually booked at Il'Villaggio's for next July.  I am in love with the place!  I attended a tasting and the food is excellent!  I have been working with John and I can't say enough good things about him.

    I'm also having my wedding there next July! It was the first place we saw and nothing else we saw after compared. The food is amazing and we liked that they gave us a food tasting before even signing the contract. Bob is wonderful and he even threw in some extra things for us because the date we wanted originally wasn't available.

    including 6 1/2 hr premium open bar and we went with pretty much everything they offer when it comes to the food options (big italian family haha)...$165 a head for a sat night in july which we are very happy with

    is that $165 including tax and gratuity?  I like the venue and we would like to visit but were afraid of pricing

     I  booked my wedding there for next May.  I am also working with Bob.  So far everything has been good.  I occassionaly stop in for dinner at the restaurant when I need a fix.  One thing I love about the place besides the decor and food is that the owners are always there.  The don't think $165 price for the other bride ncludes the gratuity, tax or maitre 'd fee.

    I booked Il Villaggio for Nov 2011, I fell in love with this place the first time I saw it. Went to a few places afterwards but came back for a second look and knew this was the place. I also went with the Viennese hour and extended my cocktail hour, we are getting married there and did not want guests wandering around or paying for drinks for 30 minutes etc. I am working with John and he is fantastic, very accomodating and we are going with the photographer he recommended. Our tasting is in 3 weeks so we are really excited!

    Hey everyone! I am having my wedding there next month!! (October 2010) and I can't wait!! I am thrilled with everything so far. The food tasting and subsequent dinners there were delicious. The venue is beautiful...and most of all Bob is the best person to work with. He is so sweet and hysterically funny. Each time we visit, he makes us laugh so much. Really can't say enough good things. Of course, I can let you know after the wedding, but I am sure it will just be perfect! Good luck everyone!Smile

    ps - I was also considering il tulipano because of the outdoor area, but the inside of Il Villaggio is MUCH MORE beautiful (high ceilings, balconette).

    Just wanted to follow up with my wedding post at Il Villaggio. I got married there on 10-10-10 and everything was perfect down to the very last detail!! The food was PERFECT!! Everyone said it was the best wedding ever and best food ever. They thought that the cocktail hour food WAS the dinner. It was that plentiful and delicious!! The dinner was perfect, and so was dessert.

    The staff was so helpful and I can't say enough good things about Bobby. Il Villaggio is just so beautiful that I could not have imagined getting married anywhere else. My photos were stunning there.....

    Just an amazing place, you will be truly happy!! :-)

    I saw someone will be getting married at il Villago Novemeber 2011.  I was hoping to set a date for Novemeber 2012 at il Villago.  What are prices per person for a November wedding at il Villago?
