Hoop skirts

I'm getting married in June in Ohio. It's going to be humid and warm. I imagine a hoop skirt might keep things off my legs a little. I have never worn a hoop skirt before and want to try one on before I buy. Can you recommend a store some where in the California bayarea that has these in stock?

No but have you thought about how you'll sit down in a hoop skirt?  I've never worn one, but I would imagine that when you sit down on the hoop skirt, it will keep its shape and kind of pop up.  Back in the day when everyone wore hoop skirts, ladies sat down on short stools so that the dress could go all the way around the stool and they wouldn't actually sit on the hoop for that very reason. They couldn't sit down in a regular chair. I could be wrong about this, but let me know because I'm very curious to hear what you decide!

Also, have you already bought your dress?  I would buy your dress to match your locale.  That means a light fabric that can breath or even a shorter length dress.  For me, If I'm wearing to much clothing in the heat I start sweating like crazy and I wouldn't want that on my wedding day.
